Make a Joyful Noise — Aquila's Setting of Psalm 100 for A Cappella SATB Choir

Psalm 100 — Make a joyful noise unto the Lord — is one of the most beloved and frequently set texts in the entire Psalter, a jubilant call to worship that has inspired composers across the centuries. This setting by Carmen Jude Aquila for unaccompanied SATB choir brings the text to life with fresh harmonic language, singable melodic writing, and the kind of joyful energy that makes it ideal for both liturgical and concert use.

Aquila's choral writing is idiomatic and effective, drawing on the full expressive range of the four-voice ensemble to create a work that is both accessible and musically satisfying. No accompaniment required — this is pure choral writing at its best. An ideal choice for church choirs, choral societies, and sacred concert programs.
