Bruckner's Solemn Funeral Motet — Arranged by Zak Rahal
Anton Bruckner (1824–1896) composed Am Grabe (“At the Grave”), WAB 2, as a short sacred choral work for use at funerals and memorial services. It is a deeply moving, solemn piece that reflects Bruckner’s profound Catholic faith and his characteristic ability to achieve great emotional depth through simple, dignified means. The work’s quiet gravity and heartfelt sincerity make it a deeply appropriate and moving choice for memorial occasions and sacred concert programs.
