Bruckner's Most Sublime Motet — Arranged by Zak Rahal

Locus Iste by Anton Bruckner (1824–1896) is one of the most sublime and serene motets in the entire choral repertoire. Composed in 1869 for the dedication of a votive chapel, its text — “This place was made by God; it is a priceless sacrament; it is without reproach” — is matched by music of extraordinary purity, radiance, and harmonic depth. In just a few minutes, Bruckner achieves a quality of sacred stillness and luminous beauty that few composers have equaled. It is a work that seems to exist outside of time.

This edition presents Locus Iste in an arrangement by Zak Rahal, ideal for choral ensembles, sacred concerts, liturgical services, and choral festivals.
