Donna Goodwin-Wilson received her Bachelor of Music with distinction from the University of Victoria in 1977, studying with Winnifred Scott Wood, and holds an ARCT Piano Performer’s certificate with first class honours. She subsequently completed a Professional Teaching Certificate at the University of British Columbia, which led to teaching positions in the public school system where she made extensive use of her music specialty. Based in Nelson, British Columbia, she has worked for more than twenty years as an accompanist for choirs, community musical events, and student singers and string players, and has taught piano and theoretical subjects as a Registered Music Teacher. Her harmony publications are guided by a clear pedagogical vision: to make harmony make sense, to help students become better sight-readers, and to make the study of harmony a creative and even enjoyable experience.
