Elgar - Pomp and Circumstance Marches, arr. M. Randall McDonald
Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance Marches — Arranged for Concert Band by M. Randall McDonald
Edward Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance Marches are among the most celebrated works in the British orchestral repertoire — a series of five ceremonial marches that combine noble grandeur, sweeping melody, and irresistible rhythmic energy. From the famous “Land of Hope and Glory” trio of March No. 1 to the bold splendor of the later marches, this collection represents Elgar at his most majestic and immediately communicative.
This edition presents the Pomp and Circumstance Marches in an arrangement by M. Randall McDonald, a specialist in bringing overlooked and underperformed orchestral works into the concert band repertoire. An ideal choice for formal concerts, graduation ceremonies, and any program seeking music of genuine ceremonial grandeur.
