About the Composer

Dr. Paul Geraci is a professor of music theory and composition whose career has taken him from Mississippi State University to Saint Joseph’s College in Indiana, where he currently serves as Chairman of the Music Department. His compositional output is notably eclectic — spanning concert music, jazz, music for television and film, and two operas. Beyond the academy, Geraci has worked in the music industry at Sweetwater Sound and performed professionally as a trumpet player for Carnival Cruise Lines and Holland America Line. Outside of music entirely, he is also a certified fencing master and a licensed airplane pilot — a range of pursuits that speaks to the same restless curiosity and precision that animates his composing.
