Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening — For Mixed Chorus and Piano

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Johnny Edwards II is a choral setting of Robert Frost's iconic poem — one of the most beloved and widely memorized works in the American literary canon. Frost's hushed, hypnotic verse, with its imagery of dark woods, falling snow, and the quiet pull of rest against the press of obligation, finds a natural home in the choral medium.

Edwards's setting for mixed chorus and piano captures the poem's atmosphere of stillness and wonder with writing that is both evocative and vocally idiomatic. The piano accompaniment adds warmth and textural depth, making this an ideal concert piece for any ensemble seeking repertoire that resonates with audiences on a deeply human level.
