Bizet's Jeux d'Enfants — Arranged by Martin Tousignant

Jeux d'Enfants (Children's Games) by Georges Bizet is a delightful suite of twelve miniatures originally composed for piano four hands in 1871 — one of the most charming and inventive works in the French chamber repertoire. Each piece bears a whimsical title evoking a different childhood game or toy: spinning tops, soap bubbles, blind man's buff, and more. Bizet later orchestrated five of the pieces as the Petite Suite, but the complete set in its original form is a treasure of wit, grace, and melodic invention.

This arrangement by Martin Tousignant adapts Bizet's delightful miniatures for ensemble performance, capturing the wit and whimsy of the original in a format accessible to a wider range of performing forces. A wonderful choice for lighter concert programming, educational settings, and family-friendly performances.
