She subsequently completed a Professional Teaching Certificate at the University of British Columbia, which led to teaching positions in the public school system where she made extensive use of her music specialty. Based in Nelson, British Columbia, she has worked for more than twenty years as an accompanist for choirs, community musical events, and student singers and string players, and has taught piano and theoretical subjects as a Registered Music Teacher.
