About the Composer

David MastikosaDavid Mastikosa is a young Bosnian composer born in 1992 in Prijedor, where he began his musical education studying clarinet and music theory at the Secondary Music School “Savo Balaban.” He subsequently moved to Banja Luka to study Composition at the Academy of Arts in the class of Tatjana Milosevic Mijanovic, where he was awarded the prize for best student and took first prize in the III International Piano Competition Smederevo for his composition iRitual for piano and human being. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Composition at the Academy of Arts Banja Luka, where he also serves as Assistant in the Music Theory Department. Mastikosa composes classical, electroacoustic, and electronic music, as well as music for theatre and film. His compositions have been published by Alea Publishing & Recording (Tacoma, Washington) and Ayotte Custom Musical Engravings (Detroit, Michigan).
